Job Summary:
We are seeking to hire an Investment Associate for our Hong Kong-based investment management team. This position offers foundational experience in the dealmaking process, with direct involvement across the entire investment lifecycle. The Associate will support senior professionals in the evaluation, structuring, execution, and ongoing monitoring of investments. This role is suited for a junior professional with strong analytical capabilities and a foundational understanding of corporate finance who is committed to a career in investment management.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Analysis & Due Diligence:
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of potential investment opportunities, including industry and company-specific research.
- Support the due diligence process across all workstreams, including financial, commercial, legal, and operational reviews.
- Analyze statements, operational metrics, and market data to support the formulation of an investment thesis.
- Prepare initial screening documents and analytical summaries for review by the investment committee.
Deal Execution & Transaction Support:
- Provide support to the investment team on the structuring and execution of transactions from origination to financial close.
- Prepare transaction materials, including comprehensive investment memorandums, presentations, one-pagers, reports, and asset profiles on the EVIDENT platform.
- Assist in the coordination of third-party advisors, including legal counsel, accountants, and consultants.
- Assist in the management of the virtual data room and the organized flow of information between relevant parties.
- Support the financial, administrative, and economic aspects of deal structuring and closing.
Post-Transaction Monitoring:
- Assist in monitoring the financial and operational performance of portfolio companies post-transaction.
